The political-administrative emancipation of Entre Rios do Oeste took place in 1990, becoming a municipality with the merger of the district of Porto São José and areas detached from Marechal Cândido Rondon.Currently, Entre Rios do Oeste stands out for its strong agricultural economy, with cultivation of corn, soybeans, wheat, and cassava, as well as livestock farming.
